About Indiana Tech

Indiana Tech is an accredited private university founded in Fort Wayne in 1930 as a small engineering college. Since then, the university has expanded to also include programs in business, computer studies, criminal sciences, education, and more. Indiana Tech’s College of Professional Studies offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in an accelerated format at several locations throughout the state of Indiana as well as online.

Classes are also offered in about a dozen smaller communities throughout the state using space in public libraries, high schools, and corporations.

Indiana Tech is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The university is approved and officially recognized by the U.S. Office of Education and the U.S. State Department and is approved by the State Approval Agency for the enrollment of veterans and eligible persons. Additionally, the university is a member of the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL) and adheres to its policies and practices.
